MedChi Names Ransom Executive Director
MedChi, the Maryland State Medical Society, named AAMSE member Gene Ransom III as their new executive director, ending an eight month search. Ransom previously served as the director of membership for the organization.

TMA proposes Insurer Code of Conduct
The Texas Medical Association (TMA) released a proposal to stop insurance companies from practicing rescission, entitled "Health Insurance Code of

Sunshine Bill Reintroduced
Senators Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and Herb Kohl (D-WI) introduced a revised Physician Payments Sunshine Act, altering the language and adding fines up to $1 million for failure to comply.
