by Friday May 2, 2014. 

The AAMSE Board sets policy and provides overall leadership for AAMSE, including the mission, goals, priorities and resource allocation. If you believe you or someone you know would be a strong candidate to serve on the AAMSE Board of Directors and are interested in taking on a leadership role in the association, let us know!

How to apply:

If you are interested in submitting a nomination for the AAMSE Board of Directors, please contact AAMSE Executive Director Ben Bütz, MPA, CAE at bbutz@aamse.org. You will then be provided with a nomination packet containing instructions to complete an official application.

Board facts:

• The term for an AAMSE Board member is three years
• The Board meets in-person four times per year and holds approximately three teleconferences per year

Interested in serving as a judge for the 2012 Profiles of Excellence Awards? Apply by March 9 and play a role in deciding whose name is read when that envelope is opened this July in Los Angeles! 

The Profiles of Excellence Awards pay tribute to medical societies that are making positive contributions among their membership and in their communities with creative and groundbreaking programs and campaigns. Winners will be recognized at the AAMSE Annual Conference, July 18-21 in Los Angeles. 

The Profiles of Excellence Awards are open to all AAMSE member organizations and will recognize one outstanding achievement in these five categories.

We want your help selecting the recipients for this year's awards!

In the judging application, you will be asked to rank your top choices of categories that you would like to judge. Once confirmed, your judging assignment(s) will be based on the preferences you indicated.

Nominations for AAMSE Board of Directors

Deadline: Thursday, March 12

The AAMSE Nominating Committee, chaired by Immediate Past President Ken Slaw, PhD, is calling for nominations for candidates for positions on the Board of Directors. Deadline for nominations is Thursday, March 12. A total of four positions are open: president-elect and secretary-treasurer for 2009-10, and two director positions for 2009-12. All AAMSE members who are full-time employees of a qualifying professional organization or society are eligible to be nominated, and self-nominations are strongly encouraged. Please contact either Ken Slaw or Becky Brandt, executive director, to nominate yourself or a colleague; or send your nominations to the AAMSE Nominating Committee at aamse@aamse.org. Once we receive a nomination, the individual will be contacted and additional information will be requested.
