Writing in the April edition of the Harvard Business Review, Dr. Thomas H. Lee, network president of Partners HealthCare System, sent a salvo across the medical community by highlighting the major problem facing medicine today: people like him. Fifty-something doctors trained in an era of autonomous hero-practitioners may work hard, but they don't provide the best possible care, because they're embedded in a fragmented, chaotic, performance-blind system.
Joining us in Boston as our opening session speaker, Dr. Lee will share examples from leading health care organizations throughout the nation, on how this new leader is developing and affecting the health care system in a positive manner. Learn what role your society will play in helping your members adjust their changing environment.
